Demonio Something is Missing Things were significantly slowing down in the Cerrac territory. The amount of newcomers jad decreased, atleast from what he had seen as late, which hadn't been much. He hadn't seen many other packmates, but perhaps that was his fault. He spent to mch of his time guarding the Cerrac borders, trying to ensure that no one set foot on his home without him knowing about it. He'd been doing a good job. For the most part he had intercepted many of the loners that had come seeking acceptance with his leader Bella, but there were possibly those who had managed to slip his watchful eye. But he didn't worry, he was sure Bella had gotten to them.
The landscape was tinted gray, with hints of purples, oranges and pinks emerging. Dawn was only a few minutes away. Chest heaved and expanded with each gulp of life-providing oxygen, eyelids fluttering as the dreamworld began to slowly disapate and give way to the real thing. Demonio stirred into consciousness, his eyelids snapping open as he slowly rose, his body stiff from the cold. Blinking rapid to adjust his eyes, the black and white knight stretched, arching his spine in a feline manner before extending it to its full length, listening with satisfaction as his back popped, relief spreading through his mass. Regaining a normal stance he shook his coat out, dispelling any debris that might have collected on his bi-colored coat. His raven spikes rippled in waves as he strode out of his den and into the grey atmosphere.
His breath condesned around his muzzle, swirling over his nose before it disappeared into the warming atmosphere. Maroon gaze was trained on the horizon, haunches folding beneath the brute as he sat to watch the spectacle. The gray had begun to fade away, the bright colors now dominating the sky. They blended together perfectly, not one single color stronger than the others. And then the sun peaked over the mountains. It was like a giant golden fireball that lit up the world with its brilliant light. It rose slowly and surely until it fully crested over the mountains, illuminating every nook and cranny, chasing the shadows away. The male closed his eyes for several moments, enjoying the warmth that the sun brought, letting it settle over his massive bulk like a blanket. After another moment he reopened his eyes, gazing at the beautiful sight. An ache awoke in his chest and he had turn his attention away from the breathtaking view.
It had been quite some time since his maroon eyes had come across the beautiful cream figure of Rint. It might as well have been a hundred years. He missed her so keenly that she was practically the only thing on his mind, from the moment he awoke to the moment that he fell asleep. But even in his dreams he could not let go of his thoughts about her. For the past several nights he'd been having the same recurring dream of himself and Rint at her crevice, where they had first met all that time ago. It was agony, not talking to her or even catching a glimpse of her. Demonio felt rather foolish that a female he was just getting to know could cause such a reaction from him, but it was the simple truth. He really, really liked Rint, unlike he had ever liked anyone in his life. She brought out a softer side of him, a side that until now only existed in the shadows. She was rebuilding his trust in others. She was changing him for the better.
A sad sigh slipped through his bi-colored lips, the thought of Rint ever present in his mind, the hollow ache in his chest making it even worse. Unable to contain himself anymore, the stalker tilted his massive skull to the bright heavens, his larynx vibrating as he sung to Rint, calling her forth from wherever she was, demonstrating just how much he missed after. After a minute or two he let the song drop, echoing out into the Cerrac lands. He prayed and he hoped that she would hear his call, that she would come and fill that hollow ache in his massive chest. His maroon gaze was trained on the landscape ahead of him, his ears tuned in to catch even the slightest whisper of her voice.

Just like normal, the cream wolf was up much earlier than the sun. The crisp air bit at everything, cold and chilling, biting like a snake at the young plant life as it, too, woke for the day. The snow was still ever present on the floor, covering everything in a very thin white sheet. It was much harder than it had been during the winter season, much slicker, too; ice was much easier to step on now than the actual powder. From time to time, a rough crunch could be heard, breaking the very still silence. However, it was not the predator that had caused such a disturbing sound. Instead, it was the igotta, walking calmly and ‘hidden’ within a sparse amount of trees. The wolf only calmly watched from a few feet away.
Bi-colored eyes looked over the possibilities, watching as the lone creature nibbled away at some newborn grass. The herd had been dozens of feet away, hiding in plain sight. While they were together, they were not afraid, as they stood a much better chance. This one, however, had wandered away; following the fresher, much more delicious grass into this scene surrounded by trees. This was what Rint looked for; the ones who were just too greedy to stick with the rest of them. Now, it had been left up to devising a plan; figuring out how to get this thing dead before it combust or found it’s way back to the group. Unluckily for her, the other huntress was off; probably dead asleep right now. Not surprising enough, she felt that this newcomer did not take the job as seriously. Probably was not as trained or dedicated.
Releasing a large mouth of breath, one that she had been holding for the past couple of moments, she refreshed herself with some new air. This was done quietly as possible, making sure that this creature would not hear her. Taking a very slow and calculated movement, she took a step forward, closing the small gab between her and her prey. The medium black wings that were adorned on the back of her, were tucked closely to her side; twin tails stuck stiff behind her. It was a small doe, and so assistance was not really required; although it would have been nice. To wake someone and drag them from their den, however, was not something she would do. If the orange female wanted to help, she would have already been up and ready.
The sun began to break over the peaks, colors filling the sky and the brightness lighting up the plains. Her time here was beginning to run out, but still a plan was not coming to mind. There was always just bolting, leaping for the neck and taking it down fast as possible, but that was not always the best plan, because it would exert all of her energy at once as well as put her in a dangerous zone; that being she could get trampled. No, Rint was never the type of wolf to just do things haphazardly, and in fact took a lot of pride in her precision. If only another wolf was here, she could help feed a good portion of the pack no problem. She frowned, her face curling up in anger; if there wasn’t a potential meal hanging out just inches away, then she would have snarled in frustration.
Bright now, the sun had finally made it’s decent over the mountains; glowing it’s light all over the land. The doe had paused it’s eating now, instead it lay in the grass, relaxing in the cool shade. It finally opened a door for the hunter, as she saw now what could be done. There would be no danger in leaping on an unsuspecting igotta, as she could not be trampled in that laying position. She doubted it would catch on fire quick enough to burn her mouth. Grinning, she prepared to seize the moment; ah, it was so close in her paws.
But the silence broke as a howl entered the lands, sending all of the igotta into an alert fluster. The doe leapt up, although did not rejoin the herd just yet. She knew it would catch too quickly now, and it was pretty much a hopeless fight. Wait... was that call for her? Perking her ears, she turned her head to listen to the deep voice that echoed through the lands. Demonio! Suddenly there wasn’t as much anger held within that small frame, but instead an unsuspecting happiness. For whatever reason he had to call out to the cream huntress, she did not care. All that mattered was, for some odd thing, he wanted her to come. She was slinking out of the forest before her mind could really even react to what he wanted; moving far enough from the doe that she would not scare it off just yet. Perhaps it’d be there in an hour or so.
In the free, her wings opened, shooting her into the air like a slingshot. Overcome with joy, she spun aerials in the sky; doing twirls and flips as she let the excitement flood out. The dens were near now, and knowing he was there, her quick wings gave way; folding into her body. With the feathers no longer poked out, the wolf began to descend; coming closer to the planet. Yellow and brown eyes spotted the bi-colored wolf, and in moments, she flipped her wings open, changed directions, then folded them in once again. Whole body spinning, she came in quickly, only opening the black-grey appendages when she was but a foot from the ground.
With grace, her feet touched the rocky floor, jogging a bit to run out the momentum. When the limbs finally ceased, a smile lit up the charcoal colored jaw, identical tails swaying contentedly. Hello, darling! She spoke before the adrenaline ran out, not even realizing she put such a pet name on the male she held so dear.

Demonio
She Is The Light To My Darkness His heart was thudding in his chest. What had he just done? Demonio began to pace back and forth uneasily, his spiked tail swishing this way and that in an agitated manner. Had he really just called Rint? The large male shook his head. What had he done...
The sun pounded his back, almost literally frying his nerves. He had never been this nervous in his entire life. Demonio didn't get nervous. He was a warrior, one who killed with precision and often times with no remorse. Yet now he was reduced to a nervous, worrying boy. It was like he was a yearling again, before he began to learn the ways of the warrior and he had begun discovering the beauty that was females. Only this time, it was much, much worse and completely real. What he felt for Rint was unlike anything that had had felt for any being ever, much less a woman. It was incredible and frightening at the same time.
His thoughts began to scatter. Would she hear his call? Would she come? Would she even care that he was calling her, for no other apparent good reason than because he missed her? The ivory and obsidian male shook his large skull over and over. He was an idiot. What if he had blown his chance with her? How could he go on knowing that such a beauty would never be part of his life? Damn. So many questions were piling up in his mind and swirling together that he was sure that he was going to loose his mind...
And the sound of flapping wings brought him back from his anxious worrying. He quit pacing, tilting his head back and peering into the now baby blue heavens. The figure that had haunted his dreams for the past few days was hurtling towards him. Coming in his direction. To him. That meant....that meant that she had heard his call. That meant that she had cared and come of her own free will to join him because he had sung for her. He felt the organ in his massive chest skip several beats as he watched her, mesmerized, as her amazingly beautiful figure came closer to him.
He let out a breath he hadn't known he'd been holding when she touched down, jogging towards him as she ran off the momentum from her flight. Hello Darling! Her soprano melody called out to him. A warm smile curled his bi-colored lips as he stepped forward, his pink ribbon lashing out to caress her dark muzzle. He pulled back, allowing his maroon gaze to drink in her beauty. Hello my beautiful Rint. His voice was a deep bass as he spoke to the gorgeous female, his spiked plume mimicking her twin tails as it swayed gently from side to side, not bothering to hide his deep affection for her.

There was no doubt that he must have spent a bit of time here, waiting for the female to answer to his call. From her decent, the huntress was able to see him pacing to and fro; wandering like a little lost puppy dog. Had there been something important that needed to be said? If she was late and had come not soon enough, then she knew not how to make it up to him. For a moment, a feeling of guilt flushed down her spine, fearing that somehow Rint had let her dearest Demonio down. So far he was the only wolf here that even meant something to her, and she must have ruined that by now. Why had she done such a thing?
However, with the touch of his soft pink tongue, suddenly reality hit. Blinking those bi-colored eyes, a smile slid up the charcoal maw. She took him in for a few moments, happiness and joy overflowing through her little body. It was odd how happy this male could make the hunter; a great pleasure that had not before been experienced. A warm feeling flooded down those red veins, pumping as the adrenaline from the flight began to wear off. Although he was just addressed as darling, and she had begun to notice that was what she had called him, she did not feel embarrassed. He meant the world to the cream wolf, and there was no way that he could ever escape from her now. Demonio was now entrapped within Rint’s heart forever.
For once, the compliment did not send a heated red to the cheeks of her face. Instead, it had caused a very seductive grin. Taking a step forward, flesh-colored tongue lashed from the mouth, touching the side of the soldier’s face. After giving him such a kiss, she nearly pulled back, placing rump to the ground. The earlier failed hunt was nothing but forgotten; fluttering away like a leaf in the wind. Provision for the pack could come later, so long as this male was happy with where she was. Wagging both tails in unison, eyes looked up to those maroon ones. An idea was beginning to form within her head, and for once there was no hesitation about it.
Come, spend the day with me. Before, her words were very quiet and any wolf that had met the hunter knew of how silent she was. But with him? No, they were no longer hidden and stale; they held quite an affectionate tone for her brute. When first moving into the pack, she had never suspected to find a wolf that could capture her heart. Demonio, though, had done it so quickly and well. There was absolutely no doubt that she had trusted him. OOC: not as good as my last post, but here ya go! <3
