Tectonic
Success [/color] Her plan had been executed to near perfection, minus the unexpected surprise from her alpha, but other than that everything had gone as she had intended it too. The only thing was that her right shoulder would most likely be sore for a bit, since her impact with the ice had been a tad more painful that she had expected. Well, no pain, no game right?
She could feel her whole body pulse with the adrenaline that was slowly draining from her system. The pulsing felt so strong that she was surprised that she couldn't see her legs throbbing. Tectonic stood to attention, her large wings drooping over her back as she let them rest. The exertion she had just taken part of had been extremely vigorous due to the time limit that had been placed, but it felt good to stretch her muscles again. She'd caught the orinn and brought it back to Bella, but the worry if she'd passed within the time alloted was heavy on her mind.
The dark queen wasted no time expressing her thoughts on the winged female's performance. That has to be the most interesting way that anyone has ever caught it. The ridiculing tone did nothing to dampen the dame's pride in herself for having surpassed the apparent expectations of the alpha lady. But that was nothing compared to the thrill that consumed Tonic when Bella announced that she had completed the task within the time limit, a second less as a matter of fact. A satisfied grin slipped across the obsidian crimson tainted fatal's lips before her facade became serious once again.
Her turquoise gaze fell to the carcass as the queen touched a paw to it, claiming it. Glancing back up, her audits swiveled forward, catching the queen's question. Now, do you wish to continue, or rest? Only a few minutes had passed since she had deposited her catch to the alpha and already her body was recuperating; she was ready for what was to come next. I shall continue. She replied in a determined tone, folding her wings back onto her back as she prepared herself for what was to come.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/9115/bellatm1.png] A grin appeared on the alpha’s muzzle, a feeling of contempt soothing her ever prepared body; a simple grin that many of her members did not see often, nor even liked to witness it. She was up to no good. A devious voice followed her present smirk, eyes closing slightly in a focused look. The next test? Fluffy black plume wrapped around the feet now covered deep in snow. No food or sleep for twenty-four hours. Didn’t sound bad enough for her, no... she had to up the ante a little bit.
The only water you may have is the snow at your feet. You will stay positioned in one solitary spot this entire time, and I choose where you sit. A chuckle nearly leapt out of her throat, but was kept well concealed for Bella was not yet finished. The point of this test is to show me if you can handle being on duty when we are in danger, with absolutely no food, rest, or help. With a flick of her ebony tail, another sly grin flashed. This is where most potential warriors drop out. Pausing, she allowed a moment for the message to entirely sink in.
Lifting up onto her paws, this time with no apparent expression placed on her raven face, she stared down at Tectonic. I shall be making this test more difficult from time to time. Though I shall not be around you, be aware that I will know if you so much as move from the spot I assign you. Already the place she had in mind was thought of, as it was a favorite of hers. It was a place where she could see the ice caves entrance, but still be near enough to the dens to be able to come when needed. She, however, did not have to sit there for a day on end with absolutely nothing to help pass the time.
Turning, her body trotted to a nearby small hill; a very obvious tree planted right at the very midst of it. Purple eyes glimmering as the target was spotted, pausing only a few dozen feet away. The tree had been uprooted on one side sometime last winter, making the roots poke and prod in every which direction; sharp rocks laying just beneath the splinters below; sloppy wet snow dripping from the branches above. Oh? And what was this? Looked like a storm was coming about.
Trotting nearly giddily to the spot, she peered down at the torment. This is where you shall be posted. Test starts now. I will return tomorrow at midday. And without much more hesitation, she turned, heading for the dens. Tail and head up, the plan within brewed to a point that was almost uncontrollable. Testing warriors was certain;y her most favorite duty.
Reaching the dens, the brutish female paused; almost directly in front of her hidden den. Lifting her head to the heavens, she let her poetic voice ring, her song loud enough to sound through the lands. She was calling for none other than “the annoyance”, Moonbeam. Sitting patiently, she awaited for the silvery-white fea to come trotting at Bella’s will.

Tectonic
Challenge Me...I Can Take It Within the time that lapsed between her answer and the queen's response, Tectonic's body had already fully recovered. Her heart rate had returned to normal, her breathing regular once more. The aching in her wings had gone away as well as in her muscles. That was one thing about Tonic, she could recover quickly.
A grin slid across the queen's lips, a devious tone slipping from between her jowls as her violet pools closed in what seemed to be concentration. No food or sleep for twenty-four hours. That sounded simple enough, but then the alphaess continued to speak. The only water you may have is the snow at your feet. You will stay positioned in one solitary spot this entire time, and I choose where you sit. The point of this test is to show me if you can handle being on duty when we are in danger, with absolutely no food, rest, or help. Tonic watched the queen with a stony turquoise gaze, her facade completely void of emotion. This is where most potential warriors drop out. Her eyes narrowed if only slightly. Well I'm not going to be one of those who drops out.
There was a pause after the queen's last statement, as if to let the words sink in. Oh, they had already sunk in; pretty deeply as a matter of fact. So she would have to spend an entire day without eating or sleeping? This seemed like child's play. The winged fatal used to do things like this nearly every day back when she was a rebellious pup. Now, the staying in one spot might be somewhat of a challenge, but it was one she was ready to face.
Movement from Bella brought her back from her momentary thoughts, just in time to catch the next set of instructions. I shall be making this test more difficult from time to time. Though I shall not be around you, be aware that I will know if you so much as move from the spot I assign you. A curt nod was given resembling how a soldier would salute his captain. Her hard gaze tracked the movements of the dark queen as she stood and trotted over to a not so far away hill. Limbs hoisted the large, winged fatal up, obsidian padders carrying the vixen in the direction her leader had gone.
This is where you shall be posted. Test starts now. I will return tomorrow at midday. One last vocalization came from Bella and then she departed, leaving Tonic to the test. The nigrescent, crimson stained female took her seat where she had been told, glancing up at the darkening heavens. Not to long ago it seemed that things had been going good for her, but now it appeared that even archaic itself was working against her. Did it phase her? Of course not. Tonic was tougher than anyone could ever think of. Her family had been brutally murdered, and yet here she was, part of another pack. She was a survivor and she was going to pass this test, no matter what.

Pale silver eyes were locked on a small stream of water, dripping from the ceiling of her den. Last night it had gathered just enough liquid in it to begin it’s consistent and annoying noise; leaping from the roof of the cave and down to the bottom. As it trickled, it made such an annoying noise that for nearly the whole night, the blue female had not slept. Instead, she sat there, staring blankly at the noise maker, just wishing for it to end so that she could get some sleep. Every time there had been a pause or a break, it would only last a few moments before once again continuing and causing her discomfort.
A hefty breath left her lungs, her nostrils causing a misty fog to cover over her face. She did not complain for a moment, although it did bother her greatly, but she was hardy, and though she had gotten little sleep, it wouldn’t phase her. The sun that had begun to peak into her cave was now entirely making sure that she would not get her rest. Gleaming into her eyes, nearly blinding her with the sudden light, she pulled back some. Perhaps she would find herself a new den today, one where she could actually get some relaxation. Would her leader approve of her switch?
Speaking of the raven colored queen, quite suddenly a howl arose and echoed it’s way into the rocky den. Was she... summoning Moonbeam? Did she actually need her for something? It was no secret that Bella had found the youthfulness of the smaller wolf annoying, and at points made it seem like she was actually being hindered when in Moon’s presence; so of course it came as a shock when she realized she was being summoned. Taking only a small break to stand and crack her achy bones, she made her way out of the den and peered into the daylight.
Upon the adjustment of her eyes, she finally spotted her onyx leader. Putting on a happy face, she trotted down to her spot, tail wagging gleefully. “What can I do for you, ma’am?” Her voice was cheerful and sing-songy, the sleepiness that only seconds ago consumed her now apparently dispersed. A grin held up the edges of the female wolf’s mouth, smiling at the fact that she was needed now for something. Whether it be digging some mud out of the leader’s cave, or finding her favorite elk leg bone; Moon would do whatever was told of her. [/scrolly]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/9115/bellatm1.png] Her purple eyes watched in the direction of Moonbeam’s den, assuming the female was still in there. She was known for sleeping in until about midday, and so it seemed appropriate she’d still be in there. Though it would have been nice from time to time, Bella was never one for sleeping past sunrise. A nap, of course, was a different story, but when she did have time for one, it was always somewhere that she could be quickly summoned up. Relaxation was not in the book of an alpha.
Soon enough, Moon’s silvery head slowly popped out. The alphess’ eyes never leaved her as she made her way from the den, and began to trot toward her. As always, she was filled with glee. There was something to it this time, though, a tinge of tiredness traced her features in a very sloppy way. Probably didn’t get as much sleep as the youthful wolf was used to. The leader did not feel bad.
When the fea that Bella had summoned spoke, she seemed entirely eager. It was a good feeling knowing that she would do as she wished, but oddly enough the onyx wolf felt she didn’t know what she was getting into. Looks like she had chosen the right wolf for the task, because there was no hesitation in her tread or weariness in her voice. A sly grin slid up her mouth, knowing her plan was soon to be in effect.
Letting out a quiet and very large exhale, the black fea spoke, “I have a job for you. It’s more important than most others, in my view.” Looking to the direction of the lake, she continued her speech. “At this moment Tectonic is standing guard by the lake. I need you to try and convince her to leave the spot she was assigned.” Her voice cut off, looking once again back down to the sky colored wolf.
She continued, only in a small cut off sentence, however. “You can’t touch her, though.” There was going to be no explanation as to why, it just seemed unfair. She did not want Moon to physically move the wolf, that would be unfair and the trial would not go as it should. “This test is important for Tonic, so do your best at giving her the upmost personality of Moonbeam.” Basically, she was giving her permission to be annoying.
Per usual, Bella had paused for any sign of questions. After the young wolf went on her way, she would attend her average duties before checking in on the fatale at the tree.
