Small Game:[/size][/li][/ul]
- Erican: air-ick-can. These would be compared to the Earth creature, 'mouse'. Every wolf can catch one of these, as they are simple and small. However, if this animal is not caught quick enough, it can become scared and activate it's natural defense mechanism; that being, they will stink and taste disgusting--much like a skunk. This not only ruins the appetite of most wolves, but also deems the animal useless and is therefore left alone.
- Catek: kay-tek. These animals would be compared to the Earth creature, 'squirrel'. They come in a variety of colors, but are most commonly found in black, red, and brown. They can climb trees very easily, and some can even glide. These creatures are no problem to catch for those wolves with wings and great agility, and in fact, are a favorite of most.
- Orinn: or-rin. These creatures can be compared to the Earthen animal, 'rabbit'. When threatened, they can dart across water as if they were walking on it. Once on the water, it is pretty much deemed 'uncatchable' because of how much faster it can move than the wolf itself. It has been known, though, for a wolf to keep up and actually jump on top, pushing it down into the water and drowning it.
- Maru: ma-roo. These creatures can be compared to the Earth animal, 'fish'. There are no specific breeds that the wolves recognize, only the entire species as a whole. Practically anything with a fin and lives in water is considered a Maru, but there are a select few that will call them by their own chosen names. These animals are found in every water source on the planet, and differences are based on which kind of climate and surroundings they are faced with.
- Mikoe: me-ko. These are compared to the Earth creature, 'bird'. They are of the aviation variety, and just like the Maru, they don't necessarily have special names for every different kind. These animals can fly, and most often are not the kind to get caught. When they are caught, though, the wolf can rarely be satisfied with what meat they have. They are often gamey and not as delicious as the rest of food that is provided.
Big Game:
- Igotta: I-gotta. This can be compared to the Earthen animal, 'deer'. These are the smallest of the big game, but not the easiest to catch. When a deer is not caught quick enough, it becomes impossible to catch because it will combust completely. When covered in fire, any wolf that touches it thereafter will burn almost instantly. So once lit, most wolves often don't continue the chase. Only those with the hunting skill, invisibility power, or stalking skill may kill these creatures. They are the only ones that can sneak up close enough to make the finishing bite.
- Raob: row-ab. These can be compared to the Earth animal, 'boar'. These are very wide creatures, with an extremely bad temper. They won't run when threatened, but will, in fact, turn and fight. They don't travel alone, either. Often there will be two to three of these animals hanging around together, and depending on age and size, they will have tusks. Older have large tusks, and some are actually missing them from previous accidents. Few wolves can catch these unless they have the teamwork, hunting, fighting, or strength skills. Some who are creative with their powers may catch these, but only rarely.
- Ora: or-ra. Compared to the Earth creature, 'elk'. These naturally blend into the surroundings, and so unless you're paying attention, you can walk right past these animals without ever knowing it was there. They have a sort of shimmer when they move, as if there was water that you were looking through. Once they feel spotted, however, their color shield drops and they run as they will look naturally. They come in a variety of colors, but are often earthy.
- Verau: vair-ra-oo. These would be the Earth 'moose'. Only the bravest and toughest of wolves will come after these, and never alone. They are huge, and instead of holding a singular rack of horns, they actually sport two. Huge horns sit on top of these animals, and the males are even larger. Any wolf who is known to take these down are considered some of the best hunters, and are respected naturally. There's enough meat on these huge animals to feed an entire pack for nearly a week, and some of the larger ones can even be considered close to a small dinosaur. We're speaking 'big boys'.
